Every November, National Adoption Month invites us to recognize the needs of children and families impacted by foster care — especially those awaiting adoption — and the role we can all play.
We believe the church is uniquely positioned to act!
The resources on this page are designed to equip your church to raise awareness, inspire meaningful involvement, and take tangible steps toward caring for children and families experiencing vulnerability.
Together, we are strengthening a movement of churches across New England working toward Project Zero: a future where every child in foster care has a safe, loving family and no child is left waiting.
“In the end, we may find that some of the most sacred spaces of worship are not the seats of the sanctuary, but the hard and broken places where vulnerability and oppression are met with a fullness and hope that only the Church can offer.”
- Jason Johnson

ORIGINAL VIDEO
Each National Adoption Month, we create an original video to help our church partners inspire their congregations and start conversations around needs in the foster care community. We are excited to share our 2026 video very soon. In the meantime, you can click on the image to watch last year's video. Or click here to check out other orginal videos in Fostering Hope's Vimeo library.
"I could be sitting on the sidelines, in blissful ignorance of the brokenness that surrounds me, enjoying the whole-ness of a sweet and sheltered life. Missing out on the beauty of breaking off pieces of my heart and my life to make another whole."
- Jamie Finn / Foster & Adoptive Mom, Author, Advocate
